The History of Pilgrim Organization Inc.
Pilgrim Organization Inc. (POI) has been helping youth and seniors living in the Peninsula area since 2002. POI grew out of the vision of Rev. Dr. Larry W. Ellis, a respected pastor and community leader in the Bay Area. He envisioned a community entity that could meet the unique secular needs of diverse populations of seniors and youth who are outside the traditional reach of the church.
POI has grown over the years to provide monthly programming focused on reaching Youth and Seniors that provides the skills and information necessary to improve their lives. We now partner with organizations like AACHAC of Mills Peninsula Hospital and several partner churches in order to expand our reach beyond the city of San Mateo to reach out to neighboring cities in San Mateo County.
